Three Iowans, all from the Des Moines North MCJROTC unit and sponsored by Des Moines Post #374, qualified in the sporter category for the 2019 JSSP National Championship match held July 25-27. They were Arturo Zaragoza, Kevin Nguyen, and Sidney Krejci. Kevin and Sidney finished fifth and eighth in the match with scores of 2,301.3 and 2,267.5 respectively. The highest possible score is 2,509. Kevin was recognized for shooting the highest score in the finals with a score of 93.3. Congratulations to them and their MCJROTC and sponsoring post. Having three shooters in the top 15 in the country is outstanding.
