The American Legion of Iowa and LifeServe have teamed on a blood drive during the Department Convention. That blood drive will happen Saturday but it is by appointment only. Would you believe that when this is being written only 4 of the 50 possible appointment times have been taken? Surely we have more Legion family members willing to donate.
Appointments are available from 9:05 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Right now you can choose almost any time that would fit your schedule. Just go here and click on Schedule. For most people the process will only take about 15 minutes. Room Iowa B will be the site of the blood drive.
We need to fill at least 35 of the 50 appointment times in order for the blood drive to happen. Remember, the blood you donate here stays in Iowa with some of it going to the VA Medical Centers.
The convention sessions will be in progress during the blood drive. The main report schedule for Saturday is below so that you can be on the floor for the reports that are most important to you. The convention calls to order at 9 with the reports in the following order:
